The third in The Parenting Years workshop series, Praise, Encouragement & Problem Solve will equip you with practical tips to motivate your child and shape positive behaviour. Understand the importance of child development and discover ways to engage your child in learning through age-appropriate strategies. 

Session 1: Praise & Encourage Me!

Building your child's self-esteem is very important, a positive sense of self is one of the greatest gift that you can give your child. Children who are frequently praised by their parents develop increased self-esteem. This confidence eventually makes them less dependent on approval from adults and external rewards. Through this session, you will be able to focus on learning the skills of giving effective praise and encouragement.

Session 2: Problem Solve

To children, a small problem is still a problem. Take a step back and try to understand from their perspective. Children learn from their parents, and an important part of parenting is to be good role models to them and teach them how to problem solve. In this session parents will learn strategies that support communication and problem solving.
